Please sir we just want some Nvidia drivers…
The Nvidia driver waiting room is not an uncommon place for the Apple user. All of us sat patiently while we wait for Dr Cook to call us in. When Apple released Sierra, it took 11 months for Apple/Nvidia to deliver it felt like purgatory. Now we’re here again so below is a current timeline of events which we will keep updated as regularly as possible.
June 2018
Apple release the public beta for Mojave.
September 9th 2018
An Nvidia representative posts onto the devtalk forum that “Apple fully control drivers for Mac OS. But if Apple allows, our engineers are ready and eager to help Apple deliver great drivers for Mac OS 10.14 (Mojave).”
September 24th 2018
- Mar 13, 2019 nvidia says there will be no CUDA in mojave soon. Apple stopped OOTB nvidia drivers to work with cuda drv since HS 10.13, 10.12 apple´s kepler nvidia driver work with nv macos cuda driver. Apple started blocking CUDA, openCL 2.0 AND openGL 4.5+Vulcan; fact 1; nvidia releases boot friendly RTX series for old mac pro.

- First of all, you should quit Nvidia CUDA driver on your Mac and close all the processes working in the background. For this, open Activity Monitor, find these processes and close them using the “x” button in the left-top corner. Then open System Preferences. You will find the CUDA driver.

Apple’s Initial Release of macOS 10.14 Mojave
Dec 11, 2018 This situation has some prominent Mac users up in arms. Forum posts have been popping up at various locations since Mojave’s release and last month, a petition that currently has over 2,800. Hello, Sorry if this question has been already proposed but I can't find anything precise about it. I installed a GTX 1050 Ti on a Node Lite connected to a Macbook Pro 13' 2017 TB3 with os 10.13.3. After some tries I succeed in connect the eGPU and use it through an external monitor (.104 web drivers, NVIDIAEGPUSupport v7, etc).

Apple release an official support document for upgrading the Mac Pro 2010 & 2012 to Mojave.

MacRumors spoke to an Nvidia representative about the Nvidia drivers and lack of approval for the drivers. In fact, Apple isn’t even consistently communicating with Nvidia about the ongoing issue.
” “while we post the drivers, it’s up to Apple to approve them,” and suggested that we contact Apple. We followed that advice, but Apple has yet to respond to multiple requests for comment.”

The macOS driver petition reached 6000 signatures (6929 as of writing this article).
“The community of people who have chosen to use Nvidia products with their Apple hardware demands that Apple permit Nvidia to make web drivers that work with all Mac OS versions going forward.”
